Correlation Analysis of Different Measurement Places of Galvanic Skin Response in Test Groups Facing Pleasant and Unpleasant Stimuli

The galvanic skin response (GSR; also widely known as electrodermal activity (EDA)) is a signal for stress-related studies. Given the sparsity of studies related to GSR and variety devices, this study was conducted at Human Health Activity Laboratory (H2AL) with 17 healthy subjects determine variability in detection changes among test group heterogeneous respondents facing pleasant unpleasant stimuli, correlating biosignals measured from different body sites. We experimented right left wrist, fingers, inner side foot using Shimmer3GSR Empatica E4 sensors. results indicated most promising homogeneous places measuring GSR, namely, fingers foot. suggested that due significantly strong correlation well moderate correlations wrists, may be suitable place homogenously measure group. discuss some possible causes weak negative anomalies detected raw data possibly sensors or group, which considered develop robust emotion systems based on GRS biosignals.
